Trauma & the Body—
Somatic Experiencing®
Somatic Experiencing® is a naturalistic approach based on cutting-edge neuroscience that helps you discharge arousal in the autonomic nervous system and slowly resolve challenging symptoms.
We build bridges to the feeling of well being in our body—called resourcing—so that we can stay anchored to our fundamental goodness. The feelings in our body can help to stabilize us when the sense of being overwhelmed occurs. We stay body-focused as we slowly we delve into past challenges and painful experiences in manageable size pieces.

Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises®
TRE® is an innovative series of exercises that assist the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension and trauma. The exercises safely activate a natural reflex mechanism of shaking or vibration designed to discharge muscular tension. When this muscular shaking/vibrating mechanism is activated in a safe environment, the body is encouraged to return back to a state of balance.
TRE’s reflexive muscle vibrations are slow, gentle, and pleasant, and strike a balance between doing and not doing.

Family Constellation Work
Many of us recognize unproductive patterns that seems to repeat in ourselves and among members of our families. With family constellation work, we use objects to create a 3-dimensional model, or constellation, that allows us to "externalize" the unseen dynamics behind the patterns. We then interact with the various parts of the constellation via posture, position, felt sense, and intuition to gain insight and understanding. This is a trans-generational approach that recognizes the inherent interconnections between people.
